The salad Catering cart
Is a fairly new phenomenon among us Brit’s, only a handful of restaurants actually bothers with the full on catering cart within the Uk, but in the USA it is far more common place. I am not keen personally, I don’t like the fact that some other dirty handed diner has been scrabbling around in the salad bowls, picking stuff up and replacing it back in it’s original place if it does not appeal so much after closer inspection.
As I said, only a few premises offer this in the Uk, one being Harvester not a bad place generally, decent value, but unfortunately they are frequently swarming with grubby fingered children, who have no etiquette when it comes to throwing back a salad item that has not quite taken their fancy. I have studied the art of a salad tosser whilst sat in these venues and trust me, I would not touch the produce, unless I had silicone gloves on. And the bread rolls never. Need a barbecue catering company?
